Day 1 Cathedral Lakes - Lewis Creek Loop June 28 to July 4

Day 1 - June 28 -  Drove to White Wolf camp which is on the way to Tuolumne Meadows.

We usually spend a couple of days adjusting to the altitude. This is because Julianne is a light-weight about altitude and gets loopy if the hike starts right away. So we start slow.

We hiked to Merced Grove at around 6,000 feet, thinking it was a good way to test the altitude.

As soon as we arrived at the White Wolf tent cabins - (they let us check in a little early) - Julianne went right to sleep on one of the beds - this is what the altitude does! Rick took off on a hike to Harden Lake.

In the evening we ate at the lodge, which is family style. Met some people from upstate New York who had come out to Yosemite for the weekend.
